This organization, like our school, is made up of some of the most amazing and dedicated individuals. We love to work hard, to play hard, to problem solve and to have fun doing it. I truly believe there is a place in PTSO for everyone and hope you will consider joining us.
When I am not involved with the PTSO, I soak up all the possible minutes I can with my amazing, compassionate, and thrill seeking 7th grader and husband, embrace my work as a mental health therapist, seek out new goals and adventures, play outdoors, marvel at the wonder of sourdough starter and homemade baked goods, and scream as loud as I possibly can when jumping off of way-too-high platform jumps and riding in the front row of straight drop down roller coasters.

I agree with the African proverb ‘It takes a village to raise a child.’ The Valle Crucis PTSO is a large part of that village. I continue to be amazed at all of the opportunities that the PTSO provides for VC students. I have been involved in the PTA/ PTSO for as long as I have been a teacher. I encourage all Valle Crucis families to become involved with the PTSO.
I enjoy hiking, being with horses, walking, reading, crafts, and so much more!

I love getting to meet other parents and teachers and learning about ways to help out VCS! It's all for the kids. I grew up in the Foscoe area and moved away for many years. Now that I'm back, I got involved as a way to give back to this fabulous community. My favoite hobby is skiing with my family.

Hi wonderful VCS families! My name is Kelly Wiener and I have a daughter, Makayla, in the 7th grade. This is my first year on the PTSO board. I joined to support all the amazing VCS staff and to help plan fun events for the students. After being a counselor in Wake County Schools for many years, we moved here to realize my dream of starting a nature-based therapy practice, Bee Tree Ridge Farm in Vilas.
