Enrichment Programs

Enrichment Programs Continue to WOW Us All!

 Here's to year FIVE of Valle Crucis's very special Enrichment Programming! The enrichment program was started thanks to a generous grant by the Celia Lipton Farris and Victor W. Farris Foundation Home Community Fund, a component of the fund of the North Carolina Community Foundation. EVERY SINGLE Valle Crucis student has the opportunity to participate in an enrichment activity designed and run by our incredibly talented teachers.

This semester, elementary students participate in one of the following activities: Spanish, Table Games and Building Fun!, Watercolors, Journaling, Stem Activities, Legos & Games, Puzzles, Improvisational Theater, Printmaking and Painting, Whole Body Wellness, Moanna Jr Musical, Friendship Bracelets, and Yoga.

Middle school students chose from the following: Musical Theater, Electronic Music Composition, Stained Glass, Woodworking and Carpentry, Fly Fishing, Rubix Cube & Coding, Crocheting/ Knitting, Creative Expression, Amigurumi, Pottery, Team Game Concepts & Field Day Planning, and Introduction to Engineering. 

"I like that I get to do something I LOVE." "I like that I get to learn something I have not learned before." "I like the fun classes as a stress reliever with no grades, with friends, doing something you enjoy." "[Enrichment] is really fun to do and you walk in and it is magical."

Muddy Sneakers Comes to Valle Crucis School!

Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, 5th graders received an amazing opportunity as Muddy Sneakers, a program designed to "Energize learning through experiential education in an outdoor setting where students connect with the land, become more active, and gain in self-confidence while improving science skills" debuted at Valle Crucis School! We are about to begin our third year participating in Muddy Sneakers and this is one of the most loved programs by students at VCS!
