Our area has suffered devastation due to Hurricane Helene. Your support and contributions will enable us to continue supporting and serving Valle Crucis School students, staff and the wider community.
Congratulations to the #19 Duck owned by Storie Finch who won the Premium Championship Duck Race in a come from behind photo finish that had the spectators jumping for joy!!
What a race!!
"I trained hard for this race, and it was the quackiest honor of my life to win for the Finch family!", said #19 who beat a field of 24 premium duck athletes to take the prize.
Special thanks to the Finch family who donated a portion of their winnings back to the event organizers to fund programs for Valle Crucis School students.
In other race news, a total of 406 duck athletes competed in the Valle Crucis Invitational Duck Race this year - a new record, and the competition was stiff! Congratulations to all the competitors!!

The VCS PTSO is a hard-working group of parent, teacher, staff and student volunteers dedicated to supporting the educational and social well-being of the Valle Crucis School community.
We are fundraisers, event planners, listeners, problem solvers and cheerleaders. Most importantly, we are the little engine behind the scenes supporting and acknowledging the incredible work happening on campus!
Valle Crucis School PTSO seeks to support the entire Valle Crucis School community by ensuring all VCS students have access to enriching programs and events, by supporting teachers and staff throughout the school year, and by enhancing the educational experience and environment for all involved.

Here's to year FIVE of Valle Crucis's very special Enrichment Programming! Our enrichment program was started thanks to a generous grant by the Celia Lipton Farris and Victor W. Farris Foundation Home Community Fund, a component of the fund of the North Carolina Community Foundation. Since its inception, the enrichment program enables EVERY SINGLE Valle Crucis student the opportunity to participate in an enrichment activity designed and run by our incredibly talented teachers.
