The Valle Country Fair is one of the biggest community events in the High Country—and Valle Crucis School needs volunteers to help make it happen!
Parents, teachers, family members, friends, and community members are invited to volunteer with Rally in the Valle, Valle Crucis School's parking fundraiser at the Valle Country Fair.
The Valle Country Fair raises money for area ministries, assists individuals and families in crisis, and supports local nonprofits. By volunteering to help with parking, you are helping raise money for Valle Crucis School. These funds help our PTO provide meaningful opportunities, resources, and experiences for our students and teachers.
Whether you can give a few hours or help with multiple shifts, every volunteer makes a difference.
Here's What We Need
Rally in the Valle takes volunteers before, during, and after the fair. There are opportunities to help on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Thursday — Build the Parking Lot
We'll unpack supplies and begin creating the parking areas for thousands of cars.Volunteers will help:
- Place wooden stakes
- Pull and secure twine
- Create parking areas
- Mark traffic and travel lanes
- Prepare the field for Saturday's event
It's hard work, but it's also a great opportunity to spend time outside with other Valle Crucis families while getting everything ready for the big day.
Friday — Finish the Setup
On Friday, we'll complete the parking lot setup started on Thursday.Volunteers will help:
- Finish the parking layout
- Place parking and traffic signs
- Tension and secure the twine marking parking and travel lanes
- Make sure the field is ready for thousands of visitors on Saturday
Saturday — Parking & Traffic
This is the big day!Volunteers will help:
- Direct incoming traffic
- Identify open parking spaces
- Manage pedestrian crosswalks
- Direct vehicles with handicap parking permits to the appropriate areas
- Help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently
- Answer questions and help visitors navigate the parking areas
After the fair, we'll also need volunteers to help with breakdown and cleanup, including:
- Removing signs
- Pulling stakes
- Removing twine
- Picking up trash and other items left behind in the field
Saturday — Drink Sales
Not interested in parking? We have another way you can help!Valle Crucis School volunteers are needed to help sell drinks at the Valle Country Fair from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.This is a great opportunity for anyone who would like to support the school but would prefer a volunteer role that doesn't involve directing traffic or working in the parking field.Volunteers will help:
- Sell drinks to fair visitors
- Keep the drink area stocked and organized
- Assist customers with purchases
- Work alongside other Valle Crucis School volunteers
- Help make sure visitors have a great experience at the fair
